Valenzuela holds training program for child development workers
Child Development Workers and Teachers (CDWs and CDTs) from Valenzuela City gathered today, March 1, 2023, at the Valenzuela City Hall for the "Being the Best Child Development Worker/Teacher I Can Be" Training Program.
The program is a collaborative effort of the University of the Philippines Center for Women's Studies Foundation, Inc. and the Valenzuela City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO) - Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD).
The training program aims to enhance the skills and broaden the perspective of every CDW and CDT in the education of daycare students. Thirty-two CDWs and CDTs from ECCD Centers in Valenzuela City attended the workshop, which included discussions and activities on effective teaching strategies, child psychology, and child protection policies.
City Councilor Niña Lopez and CSWDO Head Dorothy Go-Evangelista also joined the training program. The officials expressed their support for the initiative, emphasizing the crucial role of child development workers and teachers in shaping the future of young children.
The "Being the Best Child Development Worker/Teacher I Can Be" Training Program will continue for the next few days, providing Valenzuela City's CDWs and CDTs with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective educators and caregivers to the city's young children.
