Valenzuela issues vaccination protocols for private firms
The local government of Valenzuela City issued standard protocols for off-site vaccination facilities of private establishments, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
The city’s Ordinance No. 905, Series of 2021 or “COVID-19 Vaccination Site Standardization Protocols and Registration Process for Private Establishments” will ensure the collaboration between the local government and the private sector on the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
An off-site vaccination facility should have a sufficient venue space for physical distancing, appropriate vaccine cold storage, enough power outlets and electrical capacity, and restrooms.
Also, a waiting area, pre-vaccination counseling and final consent area, screening area, vaccination area, and post vaccination area must be set up at the site.
Implementation of standard vaccination cards/passports, screening forms, and ValTrace QR codes are also required.
Vaccines administered by the off-site facilities will be free of charge.
As of July 7, the city administered a total of 228, 349 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The city government said 174,157 individuals received their first dose, and 54,192 are now fully vaccinated.
