Valenzuela LGU gives away free school bags to grade school pupils
Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian on Tuesday, May 21, led other city officials in distributing free school supplies to some 10,964 kindergarten and elementary school pupils in different barangays of District 1 on the third day of the Balik Eskwela Project.
Each pupil took home backpacks containing textbooks, notebooks, and other school supplies.
The city government is expecting to have handed more than 85,000 school packages by the time it finishes the distribution.
The Balik Eskwela is among the projects that comprise the Education 360° Investment Program – Valenzuela’s Galing Pook award-winning flagship education program.
