Valenzuela seniors to receive Christmas gift packs
Senior citizens in Valenzuela City will receive gift packs under the city’s “Pamaskong Handong” program from Dec. 11 to 18, the local government said in a report by Manila Bulletin.
The distribution will be held in various barangay halls and courts included in the list posted on the city’s Facebook page:
The local government said that only those who registered in the city’s Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) on or before Oct. 15 are eligible for the gift packs.
It added that the OSCA will distribute claim stubs to the home addresses of the individuals included in their list of beneficiaries.
To ensure the safety of the seniors, their relatives are allowed to claim the gifts from the sites.
They just need to present an authorization letter signed by the beneficiary with their OSCA identification card, and the receiver’s valid ID.
The Pamaskong Handog, which started in 2003, is the city’s program for the senior citizens during the Christmas season.
