Valenzuela strengthens disaster preparedness

The City Government of Valenzuela, in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense-National Capital Region, organized the Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training for Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (VCDRRMO) personnel. The training took place today, May 16, 2023, at the Allied Local Emergency Response Teams (ALERT) Center.

With the primary objective of enhancing disaster management skills, this training program aimed to equip the attendees with the necessary knowledge and tools to ensure the safety of every #PamilyangValenzuelano (Valenzuela City residents) during any crisis.

Headed by VCDRRMO's esteemed leader, Dr. Arnaldo Antonio, the training welcomed 43 dedicated VCDRRMO personnel. Their active participation demonstrated their commitment to keeping the city prepared and resilient in the face of potential disasters.

The comprehensive training covered various aspects of disaster risk reduction and management, including risk assessment, emergency response protocols, evacuation procedures, and community engagement strategies.
