Valenzuela to upgrade VMC
The bed capacity of the Valenzuela Medical Center will improve from 200 to 500 following the signing on July 17 of President Duterte into legislation of the Republic Act No. 11327. R.A. 11327 was principally authored by Valenzuela City District 2 Rep. Eric Martinez.
The hospital's bed capability was introduced in accordance with the Valenzuela Medical Center's development plan, the act read.
Section 2 of R.A. 11327 states that the existing hospital facilities, professional health care services, and health human resource of the Valenzuela Medical Center will be upgraded to conform to the increase in the hospital’s bed capacity.
As stated in Section 3 of the Act, funding for increased bed capacity will be included in the General Appropriations Act of the Department of Health.
