Valenzuela trains barangay ambulance drivers on first aid
The Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) conducted a two-day Basic First Aid and Life Support Training for the first batch of barangay ambulance drivers on March 3, 2023. The training aimed to provide participants with additional skills and knowledge to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.
Aside from learning basic first aid and life support, the participants also underwent an eye examination as part of preventive healthcare. This will ensure that the ambulance drivers have good vision and can operate the ambulance safely.
Led by the VCDRRMO, the training covered various topics such as CPR, bleeding control, and immobilization techniques. These skills are essential in providing emergency care to patients and can save lives in critical situations.
The participants were also given practical exercises and simulations to apply their learnings in a real-life situation. This hands-on training will help them prepare and respond appropriately to emergencies.
The Basic First Aid and Life Support Training for barangay ambulance drivers is a crucial program in Valenzuela City's efforts to improve emergency response services. By equipping the ambulance drivers with additional skills and knowledge, the city can ensure that the residents receive the best possible care during emergencies.
