Police arrest 4 Valenzuela pranksters
Four men who pulled a prank on passersby by dumping a sack on the street with a person playing dead inside, ended up being arrested by police Sunday afternoon for causing alarm and scandal.
The Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) identified the pranksters as Mark Francis Habagat, 20; Mark Aldrin Arce, 20; Chris Bayron, 20; and Wynzel Tan, 19, all residents of the city.
Police said the four were arrested after a concerned citizen informed policemen patrolling Paso de Blas Monday about a dumped sack believed to contain human remains.
“The cops were informed about an unidentified person who was placed inside a sack and dumped in the area, who was later on discovered to be suspect Habagat,” police said.
The three other suspects were caught by authorities hiding while taking a video.
Case investigator Staff Sgt. Regor Germedia said the four pranksters admitted they were only trying to pull a prank on passersby and upload it on social media.
The suspects were issued an Ordinance Violation Receipt for violating ordinance on social distancing and the mandatory use of quarantine pass.
